What I'm looking for in a furever home

I know I'm so very smart and handsome. I'm a working dog, and I'm good at learning so I really want a home where I can keep learning new tricks or do agility or learn to herd! Breed knowledge is a bonus.

I also am not a huge fan of being alone so I would love to have another doggy brother or sister, or a human companion during the day. I do much better in my crate when my foster sister is in the crate next to mine!

I will work hard to please you but I'm a very low energy guy so I'll gladly chill on the floor when we get home from walks.

Mmmmm food!

No dog likes another dog in their face while they eat. Look what awesome things we learned this morning. My foster sister Sparky and I learned to wait until it was our turn since we sometimes live with a grumpy 13 year old dog. All 3 of us waited our turn this morning. Look how awesome we are now!

I am super smart and am learning all sorts of fantastic things. I am NOT allowed in the bedroom until bedtime so I wait outside the door until invited in. Same thing with going out of the house. I will sit and wait until invited through a door. Sometimes I need a reminder, but hey! I'm only 9 months old!
I'm very good on leash when I go for walks on the sidewalk but sometimes I need a reminder to stop being so excited. I will even run with you if you want. I like the off-leash park near my foster house though because there are lots of dogs and people that I can meet and build my confidence with. I like to play at the park with dogs that I know and I will introduce myself to new dogs with very good puppy manners. I'm a little shy if new people try to pet my head but I will sniff their hand and let them pet my back. I also have an amazing recall! It doesn't matter how far away I am or what dogs I'm playing with; if I hear my foster mom or anyone else who has fed me my dinner call "Maaaaaalek, pup pup, come!" I will sprint as fast as I can back, ears flapping, tongue hanging out.
This is where I like to walk.
I'm super full of personality and I'm really building my confidence. I am way more friendly at the park and to think a month ago I was afraid of a collar and leash... I loooooove the snow. I make snow angels and roll down snow piles.
I can play fetch with my favourite squeaky ball and I usually bring it back.I'm even better with my tug-rope. It is my all time favourite toy. I like my food stuffed toys too because they bounce funny ways when I drop them. I will kick my kong or my ball around the living room.
I'm learning how to weave. I used to be scared of going under people that are bent over but now it is fun because I chase my tug toy. My foster mom thinks it would be better to teach me to put laundry in the laundry basket, but I can't do everything. I like to pick up her socks but she thanks me when I give them to her, so I let her take anything, including my bones, out of my mouth.
